Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament 
Health: Neutered 

    Rocky was found without collar or identification in rural Dubuque County in early June. He has a rabies shot, and has been fostered with a family that has a dog and cat and gets along with both. His foster family his having changes in their work situation, and will not be able to foster him much longer. He is now comfortable inside and outside of a house, and is very gentle with kids. He does not jump on people, and learned his adopted name quickly. He is learning commands, responds to 'come here', and can be led on a leash.     Bluetick Coonhound Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. Bluetick Coonhounds are friendly, intelligent dogs bred in the Southern United States. Blueticks are wonderful hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell. Bluetick Coonhounds normally make very good family pets, but can be difficult to train. Blueticks need a large fenced in yard. They will wander off easily to follow a scent if they are not kept on a leash. This hunting dog is not a good choice for households with small non-canine pets.
