TJ is a sweet dog. He belonged to a client who had multiple life changes and could not give him the time he needed. He would get loose and end up at animal control on several occasions. He has a voice and uses it, never seems to go hoarse. I took TJ in to help him and my client. (He has boarded with us for most of his life.) I found him a home with a family but he got in a fight with the older female dog and the husband got bit breaking them apart so he came back to me. He has been okay here since June but never shuts up. I am due to have a baby in 4 weeks. TJ has started fighting with my other dogs and has begun snapping at my boyfriend if he sits down near him. No contact has been made but the behavior won't be tolerated. If he bites he will be euthanized. I would like to prevent this. I have no time for him. He needs to be outdoors but wants to be with people. He has never hunted a day in his life. At my wits end. (Less)

Bluetick Coonhound Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. Bluetick Coonhounds are friendly, intelligent dogs bred in the Southern United States. Blueticks are wonderful hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell. Bluetick Coonhounds normally make very good family pets, but can be difficult to train. Blueticks need a large fenced in yard. They will wander off easily to follow a scent if they are not kept on a leash. This hunting dog is not a good choice for households with small non-canine pets.
