Solid white large and brindle medium size pit / coonhound mixes need home ASAP. I'm sending this to multiple places to ask for advice and resources or help. My neighbor is getting evicted and has 2 pit mixes that need rehomed. They are not well trained or socialized. They are not aggressive (good with kids and dogs, okay with cats) but one is fearful of strangers and they need someone who can work with them. He needs to find them a place to go fast or they will end up at a shelter and we don't want them put down or end up somewhere bad. My family will not let me foster them for fear I'll keep them and I'm not sure what to do. They're good dogs. They just need some help. I'd appreciate the help. I don't want these babies to go somewhere bad. If you want to adopt I will ask questions to help ensure they go somewhere safe and good for them. I am related to the owner and can communicate with them (they currently don't have a working phone or internet). If they are ADOPTED DIRECTLY it needs to be understood these dogs need a lot of work and training. They have gone almost 2 years with minimal socializion and training outside their family. They need a dedicated owner to work with them and shape them into the best they can be. They are good dogs, but they were separated from their litters early before being adopted into their current home and need work. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 18-01-04-00350Lucy Lou (female)|
Lucy is as sweet as they come. She is 4-5 years old and weighs 45lbs. She was pulled from a rural shelter in KY. Lucy walks with a limp from an old injury that never received medical attention. However, her limp does not affect her quality of life. She still runs and plays with her doggy foster siblings. Lucy is crate and potty trained although she is not a fan of the crate. She can be left out of a crate without destroying anything (just pick up the trash can). Lucy loves to chill outside in the fenced in yard. She sits on the back porch protecting the yard from squirrels. She loves kids! She would enjoy a more chill playmate or wouldn't mind being the only dog. She tolerates the cats she has seen at the vet. (Less)

Beautiful dog. It will break my heart to see him go. Aggressive when he has something he should not. Great guard dog. House trained. Extremely intelligent. Recently divorced so we're both out of place. He is used to being indoors.

Bluetick Coonhound Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. Bluetick Coonhounds are friendly, intelligent dogs bred in the Southern United States. Blueticks are wonderful hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell. Bluetick Coonhounds normally make very good family pets, but can be difficult to train. Blueticks need a large fenced in yard. They will wander off easily to follow a scent if they are not kept on a leash. This hunting dog is not a good choice for households with small non-canine pets.
