    People still not neutering and spaying their dogs. Six puppies were dropped off to a shelter to find new homes. There are 2 girls (Ashlee & Kassidy) and 4 boys (Sweeney, Chaunce, Chaplin & Bluegrass). They are part bluetick coonhound and part heeler, so they will likely be medium to large when they grow up. All of these pups are initially on the shy side when they are one-on-one with people, but when together in their pen they run to people and jump up for attention.     Albert is a Bluetick Coonhound mix with a very sweet personality. He lost his home because his person became ill and could no longer care for him. He was very loved and loves everyone, big and small. Albert is a big, sweet, lovable boy who is also very gentle and calm. Albert's favorite thing is long brisk walks, where he can take in all the smells, and he also enjoys the dog park. Another thing he likes is lying in the sun, and he'll curl up in the smallest patch of sunlight for a nap. Albert is great on a leash and knows all the basic commands.     Bluetick Coonhound Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. Bluetick Coonhounds are friendly, intelligent dogs bred in the Southern United States. Blueticks are wonderful hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell. Bluetick Coonhounds normally make very good family pets, but can be difficult to train. Blueticks need a large fenced in yard. They will wander off easily to follow a scent if they are not kept on a leash. This hunting dog is not a good choice for households with small non-canine pets.
