Rescue Me ID: 16-06-19-00182Roscoe (male)

Bluetick Coonhound    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Roscoe needs a new home. He is a great family dog, good with kids but is calm enough that could be a single adult companion. He is loving and affectionate but is also fine lounging on his own or sniffing EVERYTING. Knows sit, stay, down, heel, leave it, wait, shake, come and walks well on a leash with routine redirection. He is a hound so often has to be told twice, but he does listen. Was good at dog parks previously but we have not taken him since he and out other dog had a fight. Husband and I each have 1 large adult neutered male, they got along great initially. In the corner of a dark room the two boys got spooked and fought. ... (Read More)They are good outside and while on walks together but inside or small spaces become very nervous. Roscoe usually ignores smaller dogs and has occasionally attempted to show dominance with bigger male dogs. He is not violent its lots of sniffing or trying to stand over. With the upcoming arrival of our first child keeping the boys separated is becoming more and more challenging. We can't pick one of our boys to rehome so we have posted both in hopes that one finds a good home. (Less)
