    Shine is a loving young hound, housetrained and great with kids, but not so great with livestock and chickens. She has been threatened by neighbors and her family doesn't want to keep her tied so they want to rehome her.

    UPDATE; Fred was rescued from Roswell Animal Control. He is with an Albuquerque rescue named Bridges to Home. He is an active boy and around 2 years old. He is about 70lbs. He gets along with small dogs, big dogs, all humans (including children). All 70lbs of him just wants to play and snuggle. He also rides well in a car.     Bluetick Coonhound Dogs can make good pets in New Mexico if they match your IifestyIe. Bluetick Coonhounds are friendly, intelligent dogs bred in the Southern United States. Blueticks are wonderful hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell. Bluetick Coonhounds normally make very good family pets, but can be difficult to train. Blueticks need a large fenced in yard. They will wander off easily to follow a scent if they are not kept on a leash. This hunting dog is not a good choice for households with small non-canine pets.
