Blue is a sweet medium sized dog who was just 2 in Sept. He has lived outside in a dog igloo almost his whole life. A neighbor who is a dog trainer has been working with him on leash manners and basic obedience. His owners have agreed to rehome him. Blue would love a home where he is part of the family and can live in the house.

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-30-00587Molly & Maggie (female)
Molly and Maggie are sisters that need a new home. They are two years old. Their mom was a blue tick hound and their dad was a lab mix. They are medium sized ... Molly is about 35 pounds and Maggie is about 33 pounds, but they are the same height. Both are very sweet! Maggie is a social butterfly and has to say hi to everyone, but Molly is a little more quiet when it comes to large crowds or unfamiliar surroundings. She tends to cling when we go places, but as long as they are together they are fine. They have been sidekicks since they were born. They are crate trained and love their crate. I always keep the door open and they sleep in it together a lot. It is their safe place. They have both been spayed and kept up on shots and heartworm & flea/tick preventative. They are on a grain free diet and are both very spoiled. They have never slept a night outside, but love to go out and play. If at all possible, I want them to stay together because they are very attached and I think they will adapt better if they are together. I have a blue tick beagle that is 9 years old. She is such a sweetheart. Has rabies shot, not fixed, great temperament and stays outside. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. I don't want to get rid of her but I have no other choice. She deserves a great family. Could you please take her and find her a good home.

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-17-00440Harley (female)
Harley is a great dog. She is high energy, wouldn't hurt a flea. She does jump because she is excited but NEVER bites. May hurt a cat only from playing. Hate to give her up but we don't hunt and don't have enough time to spend with her. Would make a great hunting dog.

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-17-00222Thelma (female)
I am a 6 1/2 month old pointer/coonhound mix and my sister Louise and I were picked up as strays and taken to the local shelter. Louise has found her forever home, and I am still looking for mine. My foster mommy says that I am a tricolor hound mix. I don't know what that means but she says that I have 'makeup' on my cheeks and my eyebrows and it's brown. I am a confident girl and am picking up my commands very quickly. I know 'sit', 'paw', 'leave it', 'go to bed'. I am mostly house-trained, and do ask to go out but still occasionally have small accidents because I am still a puppy. I love to go for walks, enjoy playing in the water in the kiddie pool in the backyard and like the bones laying around the house and love to chase a ball in the backyard. I am crate trained, UTD on my vaccines, Spayed and microchipped, on Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. I get along with dogs, kids and cats. Momma says I am the whole package. (Less)

Animal ID: Df1503001Missy (female)
Missy is an English Coonhound or Basset Hound mix that came to us as a stray rescued by a good Samaritan. She is about 1 year old and is very friendly and weighs about 45 pounds. Unfortunately for Missy, she was heart worm positive but has gone through treatment. All animals at RCHS are up to date on vaccinations, tested for heart worm and treated if positive, dewormed, and spayed or neutered if over the age of 6 months. If they are younger than 6 months, the adopter receives a voucher that is good at any vet and covers a portion of the procedure. For more info on how to adopt, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the shelter at 910-738-8282. Robeson county Humane Society is a non-profit no-kill State recognized 501c3 that operates primarily from donations, fundraisers and volunteers, with minimal Government support. Bluetick Coonhound Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. Bluetick Coonhounds are friendly, intelligent dogs bred in the Southern United States. Blueticks are wonderful hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell. Bluetick Coonhounds normally make very good family pets, but can be difficult to train. Blueticks need a large fenced in yard. They will wander off easily to follow a scent if they are not kept on a leash. This hunting dog is not a good choice for households with small non-canine pets.
