|Rescue Me ID: 14-09-23-00186Avery (female)|
Avery is 4-5 month old, beautiful Bluetick Coonhound mix who currently weighs 23 pounds. She is a very loving pup who will brighten your day with her kisses. Avery likes to spend her time playing with the resident dog and children, and attempts to play with the cat. She is being introduced to crate training and housebreaking. Avery is spayed, current with vaccinations, and fostered in Dover, PA. We are PA Caring for K-9's is an all breed dog rescue. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $275 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $325 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. |Rescue Me ID: 14-09-22-00036Montana (female)|
Just shy of 1 year old, started as in house dog with us and has progressed to outdoors. She is friendly and anxious for her next step in hunting training either bobcat or coons. She is well muscled, healthy, and has both a whimper and a bawl. Her coloring alone would make her a fantastic breeder! Our reason for searching a rescue home is that she was our teen son's dog for wanting to train and take to the mountains - but his interests have changed so drastically that she is not receiving the training or the time and attention she needs.

I have a year and a half old coonhound. She is UTD on all shots and great with kids, cats, and other dogs. She is such a sweet caring girl and loves attention and cuddling! If you'd like to know more information about her please contact me!

|Rescue Me ID: 14-04-09-00104Tyson (male)|
If you are looking for a dog who: Is medium to large and about as athletic as you can get, Tyson is your pup! He has a short easy-care coat, is energetic and loves to hunt and work outdoors. Tyson is a 3 year old coonhound. He would be best in a hunting home. We do not recommend a home with small children for Tyson.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-01-13-00576Griffin (male)|
Griffin would do best in a home with older children. We suggest that he be an only dog because he really enjoys the full attention from his family and would prefer not to share them. He has been in play groups and has done well with many of our shelter residents, but he has been less successful in homes he has been placed in with other dogs (he was placed in homes with smaller dogs than he and ones with persistent personalities ). He a smart dog who trains easily.

Bluetick Coonhound Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. Bluetick Coonhounds are friendly, intelligent dogs bred in the Southern United States. Blueticks are wonderful hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell. Bluetick Coonhounds normally make very good family pets, but can be difficult to train. Blueticks need a large fenced in yard. They will wander off easily to follow a scent if they are not kept on a leash. This hunting dog is not a good choice for households with small non-canine pets.
