Rescue Me ID: 18-02-03-00064June (female)
June is a 3 year old blue tick coonhound mix with a lot of energy and desire to tree squirrels and other small outdoor animals. She can jump a 5ft fence and she likes to roam but always returns home. She lives with cats, dogs, and two adults with two kids age 13 and infant. We are not able to give her the exercise and outdoor lifestyle she needs and deserves. She's a sweetheart who likes to cuddle in the house but has high chase energy outside. She loves patrolling the yard and would make a great 'country dog'. We live in the city and did not know her breed when we rescued her. She needs to have some room to run and be her true self!

Rescue Me ID: 18-01-25-00311Tonka Toy (male)
Tonka Toy came to us from south eastern North Carolina . He had an owner that beat him because he wouldn't hunt. Tonka was born with his front legs slightly shorter than his rear legs. This doesn't slow him down!! He is truly a loving southern gentleman

Animal ID: 17-11019-00194Charlie (male)
This guy is young dog and loves attention and playtime. Kennels good but not house trained yet.. working on it and is showing he will make the grade. He is the most playful youngster that has been here. Probabaly just under a year or right at it. Every one loves to play with him . Active kids and family will make the best fit. Must have a fenced area just becasue he is playful and needs to be able to run the energy off or playt it out. Not quite a year and not cat aggressive but very interested in smelling evey one he can get close to. He is way cuter then this picture and I have started basic commad training with him. Hge love to play fetch and not an excessive barker but does bark at play time, people arriving, other dogs walking past his pen.. Pretty much he can let you know some one is in the area or arrived at your home.. Mini radar in him. Just sweet and playful and ready to find his forever home .. Thank you for looking. Adopt carefully (Less)

Bluetick Coonhound Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. Bluetick Coonhounds are friendly, intelligent dogs bred in the Southern United States. Blueticks are wonderful hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell. Bluetick Coonhounds normally make very good family pets, but can be difficult to train. Blueticks need a large fenced in yard. They will wander off easily to follow a scent if they are not kept on a leash. This hunting dog is not a good choice for households with small non-canine pets.
