Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00399Chip (male)

Bluetick Coonhound    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

I found Chip almost 3 yrs ago. He was a puppy running the neighborhood with a female chihuahua. I fed & watered him & basically took him in. His companion was very skittish & wouldn't come near anyone. But whenever we put Chip on his lead to eat, she would come and eat too so we started giving extra for her. After bout 2-3 months, she was startled into my house & after months of tlc she came to love us. But think she might have been abused by male, so she's leery around males. Chip is both an inside/outside dog. He loves to play fetch with a tennis ball. Very energetic outdoors. Lazy like indoors. Don't know if I'm saying the right thing. ...
