Rescue Me ID: 14-09-30-00480Georgia (female)
Georgia is an older spayed Blue Tick Hound who I adopted from a rescue a year ago. She had been found as a stray at Wal Mart and had been in foster care for almost a year. She is a typical lazy coonhound, gets along great with all the dogs big and small, lives in a pack of 12 w 2 cats and a horse and surrounded by cattle. She loves to sleep on her sofa in the air conditioning and likes to roam the pastures surrounding my house but doesn't go off hunting anymore. She has that loud coonhound bay and needs a home in the country as I am having to move back to the city. She is very low maintenance and just an all around great girl! She is heartworm neg and current on hw and flea and tick prevention. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-19-00479Sparky (male)
Sparky followed us home three years ago and we love him very much, however, we have six dogs now and having issues feeding them. We would like him to find a good home. He loves being in the house, sleeping on the couch and playing rough house. (have to be careful with that, he is a big dog).....not sure what other breed he is mixed with but has sired some pretty puppies with our terrier mix female. Sparky is blind in his right eye, cataract. This could be remedied if funds are available.

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-16-00001Fred (male)
Fred was found on the street a few weeks ago and we took him in as temperatures were below freezing. He is a very sweet & friendly guy. We have not taken him to the vet yet as we were hoping someone would claim him from the 'found dog' signs we put out, but no dice. He will be current on all shots and neutered prior to adoption. Please consider giving him a forever home. We will gladly check him with other dogs or cats if you are needing that information. Thanks for your interest!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Bluetick Coonhound in Texas
Bluetick Coonhound Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Bluetick Coonhounds are friendly, intelligent dogs bred in the Southern United States. Blueticks are wonderful hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell. Bluetick Coonhounds normally make very good family pets, but can be difficult to train. Blueticks need a large fenced in yard. They will wander off easily to follow a scent if they are not kept on a leash. This hunting dog is not a good choice for households with small non-canine pets.
