     Wow! Rescue Me, thank you! We have the most amazing story to share! Our beloved Memphis found a new home yesterday. His new owner is a young disabled veteran with PTSD. Memphis will live out his days as a service dog. He has two new human brothers, a six year old boy and an eleven month old boy. He will get all the love, attention and exercise he truly deserves and the unique and honorable opportunity to serve his countrymen. I hope this happy ending rescue story will inspire others to do something for someone in need in the community. Bless you, Memphis, just for being you! We love and cherish you always.

     Feeling so thankful for Rescue Me! We posted our story about Bandit on Sunday evening and Monday morning I was talking with someone who was interested in our puppy. During our call, we talked in depth about Bandit's personality and needs and we both decided that this was a good fit. Tuesday we drove Bandit to his new home and watched him 'sniff out' his new home. Because Bandit's new parents knew exactly what kind of dog they wanted, and Rescue Me is breed specific, this transition was smooth and successful. And for that, we are grateful. I will recommend your service to friends and family.

     I am much obliged to you for this website. I called on one dog only to find out she was not available, so I immediately put myself on the alert list. This is the best way to go in my opinion. I received an alert on a wonderful Blue Tick that was described to a 'T'. It also helped to have that email notification on my phone.      I posted a picture and description of a stray Bluetick Coonhound my husband found in the woods as needing help to be rescued and was contacted by a gentleman about possibly adopting her that very day! Later the same week, we met and the gentleman fell in love with the doggie and decided to take her home with him! Without Rescue Me's website and ability to post a blog and picture for free this never would have happened. I felt more comfortable having someone who was registered with Rescue Me's e-mail alerts adopt the doggie because I knew that they cared since they took the time and effort to register an interest in adopting a particular breed. Plus, the fact that I don't have a no-kill shelter in my area and therefore was very limited on my options for finding the doggie a good home made this success story that much sweeter! Thanks Rescue Me for helping my stray doggie find a wonderful home!

     After fostering this wonderful pup for almost two years and trying on my own to find a good home for him, I finally put him on Rescue Me. I never expected a response. Within a few weeks, the PERFECT family contacted me about adoption. I never expected to find such a good home for him on a public national website. I would have never found this wonderful home on my own. He is now being loved by his stay-at-home 'Mom' and 'sister', Tanka, who he adores! AND they are testing him to become a pet therapy dog! I had 'Buddy' for almost a year and I sure do miss his big soft ears and wet kisses. Being a foster is not easy, but I am sure another homeless will come along.      After finding abandoned puppies while hiking, I brought them back home, hoping to nurse them back to health and find them good homes. It was easier said than done, and after posting flyers and local ads, and showcasing them in dog friendly parks, I started to feel a bit hopeless. Then a friend told me about Rescue Me! I was reluctant at first, these pups were my babies and I wasn't sure about putting them on a national adoption site. Well, the response from numerous families was amazing, and heartwarming. It was wonderful to read the emails, and it gave me hope not only for Bugsy and his brothers, but for so many dogs in desperate need of good homes. Bugsy moved to his forever family where he'll be spoiled by a wonderful man that likes to take him and his 'new' beagle brother Duke on long walks despite having two acres as a playground.      We used Rescue Me! to find a Bluetick Coonhound. The house was so empty without the howling sweet sounds of a Coonhound. Our Bluetick girl passed away recently and my husband, myself and our two other dogs needed to fill the void. The intention was to rescue a female, we had no idea we would end up with sisters! We traveled six hours to get them, and had thought we would be able to find a home for one. We just could not leave them at the kill shelter. They were sickly, scared and a mess. After nursing them back to health, we realized they must stay together. Fostering them was our new plan and we used Rescue Me! to try and find them a home that would not separate them. After much prayer, we then realized we had already found their forever homes -- here with us. These dogs are truly blessings. I can't even begin to describe the love I feel for them. Rescue Me! brought them to us and helped us to realize they were meant to stay with us. This organization is truly a blessing bringing people together with furry loves. I am grateful and will continue to recommend this organization. Thank you Mr. Gold, and all of Rescue Me!

     We just moved to a new home with lots of trails and parks nearby and I knew it was time to get a Bluetick Coonhound as a companion. We had watched the postings on Rescue Me! for some time and when we saw Hunter, with those eyes looking up at us, we knew he was the one. Hunter is eight years old and I know that's not what most people are looking for in an adoption. But I know we'll appreciate his maturity, and that he will be a good companion for his remaining years. We're picking him up in an hour, taking him in for a bath and 'spa' treatment, then introducing him to his new home. Thanks to Rescue Me! for helping us find Hunter.      Not long after Hunter was listed with Rescue Me!, our organization was contacted by a lady in a nearby state who has five Bluetick rescues. She completed an application and wanted to meet our boy. Blueticks are her favorite dogs and she has given them a wonderful home with 15 fenced, partially wooded acres in which to romp and play. Hunter, who is a meek, mild fellow, was driven by volunteers to meet his prospective family. When he looked out of the car and saw a gang of 5 dogs, he was quite intimidated. Once he was in their midst, however, he knew that he belonged. All tails were wagging and kisses were being given. Hunter was home! Needless to say, his new mom was thrilled with him. As our volunteers drove away, Hunter, his mom, and his five siblings had set out to walk the perimeter of the property as an introduction to his new home. Thank you so much, Jeff, for your wonderful Rescue Me! website. A difficult placement was made easy once we listed our boy with you.

     The day after Cocoa was listed on your website, we received a call from a family interested in adopting. My daughter and son accompanied me to take Cocoa for a visit to meet the potential family. We spent a little over an hour watching Cocoa explore this new environment, play with the children, and even create a bond with this family! It was a wonderful feeling to watch the puppy we fostered for 15 months have such a great time and feel so comfortable! It seemed to be the perfect match and we hoped this family would think so too, but we needed to give them time to consider whether this would be the right fit for them. After we left, my children and I talked about how nice this family was as well as how much they truly wanted to adopt a hound dog! They asked all the right questions and you could sense their desire to adopt after their family friend passed away a year ago this month. We thought how wonderful it would be if they chose Cocoa to complete their family! Not long after we left, that we got the call saying they would love to adopt Cocoa into their family! How lucky they will be to have Cocoa in their lives... and she is lucky to have such a caring, energetic family to call her own!

     We found Jody a wonderful forever home with the help of Rescue Me, it turned out better for her than I could have ever imagined. I am so grateful for the wonderful, loving man who adopted her. She no longer lives her life 24/7 outside and has found much comfort sleeping in front of a wood stove.      My Lillie Belle found the perfect master for her. What a great service. I was able to interview various inquiries until I found a perfect match for her specific doggy life style. She will be a happy dog and I am happy she found the perfect human for her.

     Freckles was saved off the side of a Mountain. My brother and a few other men took her pups in. All the puppies were near death when the men got momma dog to back off, and accept the help they were trying to give her. Freckles had worms really bad and was underweight. After some loving care from my brother, his girlfriend, and daughter, Freckles came back from the hard beginning to be a happy loving friend. They felt it was not right to keep her on a lead in their unfenced yard so for Thanksgiving they drove down and I took over the search for her home. After putting Freckles on Rescue Me! I got many calls for her. A man came by, and fell in love with her. As they drove up the road I heard her bay out one last old hound bay as to say good-bye and thank you. Now she has a good home and other dogs of her same breed to live and learn with. The home she went to is very kind to their pets. I am happy to say she now has a true home. And thank you to Rescue Me! for making it so easy to help find a dog a new home.

     Blue is an older bluetick hound, discarded by his previous owner at a gassing shelter in NC. I was present when the owner surrendered 3 hounds, 2 of the 3 were walked straight back to gas chamber, as shelter was full, this owner knew this would be their fate, and said, 'I have no use for them any longer.' I grabbed the leash to Blue and said this is one blue that won't die today. He has been with our rescue for 4 months, and has become very healthy, happy and loving. He now has a forever home, who will care and love him until he is called to heaven. Thank you Rescue Me! for helping us find that situation for him. Melissa

     We fostered 'Sky' for just two weeks before we found her a home. We posted through Rescue Me and by polling friends and family. As luck would have it a relative of a friend was the first express interest and visit. With that visit she found a new family and is quite happy! Rescue Me connected us to another family just after the first family visited and were interested based on the posting. 'Sky' had already found a home, but it was good to see that she was wanted.      Bleu was with us from September of 2011 to May of 2012. A young family took him home on a 2 week home trial, and everyone fell it love. Not only does Bleu now have a forever family, he's been trained to hunt. His new dad says he's doing well with him commands and will soon be ready to go hunting. Bleu is big brother to a little young man named Wyatt who has stolen his heart. He loves to play with Wyatt and his new Mom and Dad. We love knowing we were able to bring this family all together.      I placed Brooke on the Recue Me! web site in March. Now it is April 4th and I believe that we have found a great permanent home for her. I had many people respond to the post. It was very important to me to not just take the first person that answered the post, but to research each one to make sure that Brooke would not be in the same situation that she was living.      Hi Jeff, Thanks for your note. Pug was adopted this very evening by a lovely family who recently lost one of their dogs. They have land for him to run and even had the vet appointment set for tomorrow morning! Your website is just wonderful, without it I don't know that Pug would have found a loving, forever home so quickly. I posted the ad for a friend of mine and when I got his text message a little while ago, I got all teary-eyed! Thank you so much.      Whiskey found a home using rescue me. I have been praying every night to find him a good home where he is safe. With my neighbors, he just wasn't safe and it made me sick when I wasn't right there with him to keep him safe. I got an email from Claire using rescue me and she asked to take him for the weekend, thank goodness he behaved for her! She emailed me today to let me know he is doing really good and is getting along with her other bluetick very well. She also lives quite close and said I am free to visit him and see how he is doing. I am so glad I found him a good home. I didn't want to give him up, but it was the last choice I had, for him. And his well being is what matters most to me. I see Whiskey as my son, he is all I had when times were rough and he could always make me smile. I love him to death, I feel like I owe him this and I am so glad I had a great site to help me give this to him. Thank you! Khylie Taylor
