     Not long after Hunter was listed with Rescue Me!, our organization was contacted by a lady in a nearby state who has five Bluetick rescues. She completed an application and wanted to meet our boy. Blueticks are her favorite dogs and she has given them a wonderful home with 15 fenced, partially wooded acres in which to romp and play. Hunter, who is a meek, mild fellow, was driven by volunteers to meet his prospective family. When he looked out of the car and saw a gang of 5 dogs, he was quite intimidated. Once he was in their midst, however, he knew that he belonged. All tails were wagging and kisses were being given. Hunter was home! Needless to say, his new mom was thrilled with him. As our volunteers drove away, Hunter, his mom, and his five siblings had set out to walk the perimeter of the property as an introduction to his new home. Thank you so much, Jeff, for your wonderful Rescue Me! website. A difficult placement was made easy once we listed our boy with you.

     We were looking to rehome our Bluetick Molly for several reasons, but mostly because we didn't think she was happy in our current situation. Thanks to Rescue Me!, we were able to get several very interested people and managed to place her in the perfect home for her needs. I don't think any other site would have been as useful in matching people with exactly what they were looking for. Thanks for all you help! Mike

     The day after Cocoa was listed on your website, we received a call from a family interested in adopting. My daughter and son accompanied me to take Cocoa for a visit to meet the potential family. We spent a little over an hour watching Cocoa explore this new environment, play with the children, and even create a bond with this family! It was a wonderful feeling to watch the puppy we fostered for 15 months have such a great time and feel so comfortable! It seemed to be the perfect match and we hoped this family would think so too, but we needed to give them time to consider whether this would be the right fit for them. After we left, my children and I talked about how nice this family was as well as how much they truly wanted to adopt a hound dog! They asked all the right questions and you could sense their desire to adopt after their family friend passed away a year ago this month. We thought how wonderful it would be if they chose Cocoa to complete their family! Not long after we left, that we got the call saying they would love to adopt Cocoa into their family! How lucky they will be to have Cocoa in their lives... and she is lucky to have such a caring, energetic family to call her own!

     Our family fostered Boomer for 4 months then he found his forever family through a Rescue Me! posting. Boomer had also been posted on Petfinder, but the Rescue Me! posting is what caught the eye of his new Dad. Thank you for helping Boomer find his home.

     My Lillie Belle found the perfect master for her. What a great service. I was able to interview various inquiries until I found a perfect match for her specific doggy life style. She will be a happy dog and I am happy she found the perfect human for her.

     We found Jody a wonderful forever home with the help of Rescue Me, it turned out better for her than I could have ever imagined. I am so grateful for the wonderful, loving man who adopted her. He continues to update me and send me pictures via e-mail on Jody's progress, which hasn't taken long 'cause that sweet gentle soul was just waiting to be loved. She no longer lives her life 24/7 outside and has found much comfort sleeping in front of a wood stove. She goes to the dog park with her new brother and sister every day to run, play, and howl like the Blueticks do. Again I am so thankful for finding Rescue Me! on the web and words can't describe how grateful I am towards the man that adopted her. Bless his soul!      Solomon went to a good home with a 9 year old boy that his dog had died not too long ago. Thanks to the Rescue Me, Solomon has a very good home and loves it.


Sender: Hubert Muncy     Date: December 9, 2012 _
     Freckles was saved off the side of a Mountain. My brother and a few other men took her pups in. All the puppies were near death when the men got momma dog to back off, and accept the help they were trying to give her. Freckles had worms really bad and was underweight. After some loving care from my brother, his girlfriend, and daughter, Freckles came back from the hard beginning to be a happy loving friend. They felt it was not right to keep her on a lead in their unfenced yard so for Thanksgiving they drove down and I took over the search for her home. After putting Freckles on Rescue Me! I got many calls for her. A man came by, and fell in love with her. As they drove up the road I heard her bay out one last old hound bay as to say good-bye and thank you. Now she has a good home and other dogs of her same breed to live and learn with. The home she went to is very kind to their pets. I am happy to say she now has a true home. And thank you to Rescue Me! for making it so easy to help find a dog a new home.

     Roscoe found a new home and will be joining two other hounds on a one acre fenced in yard! He is joining them today!

     I am disabled and looking at foreclosure, Calamity needed something better. I was impressed by the 'Rescue Me' site. And the fact that she was adopted in just a few weeks and moved to a nice farm in southern Minnesota with a plethora of grandkids to run her ragged, I could not be happier.

     Blue is an older bluetick hound, discarded by his previous owner at a gassing shelter in NC. I was present when the owner surrendered 3 hounds, 2 of the 3 were walked straight back to gas chamber, as shelter was full, this owner knew this would be their fate, and said, 'I have no use for them any longer.' I grabbed the leash to Blue and said this is one blue that won't die today. He has been with our rescue for 4 months, and has become very healthy, happy and loving. He now has a forever home, who will care and love him until he is called to heaven. Thank you Rescue Me! for helping us find that situation for him. Melissa

     We fostered 'Sky' for just two weeks before we found her a home. We posted through Rescue Me and by polling friends and family. As luck would have it a relative of a friend was the first express interest and visit. With that visit she found a new family and is quite happy! Rescue Me connected us to another family just after the first family visited and were interested based on the posting. 'Sky' had already found a home, but it was good to see that she was wanted. Thanks for the site and making it easy to connect animal lovers.

     My Buckey Boy went to a happy home on Eastern, PA in May. The young couple had seen the bluetick breed and feel in love. This hound boy now has the companionship of a french bull dog to romp around with all day long. Everyone needs a best bud and Buckey found one!

     Bleu was with us from September of 2011 to May of 2012. A young family took him home on a 2 week home trial, and everyone fell it love. Not only does Bleu now have a forever family, he's been trained to hunt. His new dad says he's doing well with him commands and will soon be ready to go hunting. Bleu is big brother to a little young man named Wyatt who has stolen his heart. He loves to play with Wyatt and his new Mom and Dad. We love knowing we were able to bring this family all together.      Abby was adopted by a family with a farm in the country last December. This occurred while I was in the process of posting this information. She is very happy and has friends to play with-no longer is she spending her entire days in a cage!

     I placed Brooke on the Recue Me! web site in March. Now it is April 4th and I believe that we have found a great permanent home for her. I had many people respond to the post. It was very important to me to not just take the first person that answered the post, but to research each one to make sure that Brooke would not be in the same situation that she was living.      Hi Jeff, Thanks for your note. Pug was adopted this very evening by a lovely family who recently lost one of their dogs. They have land for him to run and even had the vet appointment set for tomorrow morning! Your website is just wonderful, without it I don't know that Pug would have found a loving, forever home so quickly. I posted the ad for a friend of mine and when I got his text message a little while ago, I got all teary-eyed! Thank you so much.      Whiskey found a home using rescue me. I have been praying every night to find him a good home where he is safe. With my neighbors, he just wasn't safe and it made me sick when I wasn't right there with him to keep him safe. I got an email from Claire using rescue me and she asked to take him for the weekend, thank goodness he behaved for her! She emailed me today to let me know he is doing really good and is getting along with her other bluetick very well. She also lives quite close and said I am free to visit him and see how he is doing. I am so glad I found him a good home. I didn't want to give him up, but it was the last choice I had, for him. And his well being is what matters most to me. I see Whiskey as my son, he is all I had when times were rough and he could always make me smile. I love him to death, I feel like I owe him this and I am so glad I had a great site to help me give this to him. Thank you! Khylie Taylor
